AC/DC (Flick Of The Switch) 1983

Flick Of The Switch would be the last album to feature long time Drummer Phil Rudd, who was fired midway through the recording of the album due to a falling out between him and Malcolm Young. It would be a long time before he would find his way back into the band, returning in 1994. Taking over on Drums would be Simon Wright.
This album for whatever reason is considered to be the ugly step child of the AC/DC catalog with fans. Yes, it failed miserably when it came to sales. But how can anyone expect them to equal that of what they did with the last 3 albums. What AC/DC did is nothing short of a miracle. They created 3 successive masterpieces in a row. Any band would be lucky to just get 1. So, with their track record, expectations were at an all time high to keep the streak going. They didn't. I don't have a problem with FOTS like a lot of people do. I guess the one knock against FOTS would be that there was no true, definitive anthems to be found on the album.
Fave Songs: Rising Power, Flick Of The Switch, Guns For Hire, Deep In The Hole and Bedlam In Belgium
Album cover gets the prize for being the most literal interpretation of an album's title. AC/DC. A switch. Angus' flicking it. Haha.
