AC/DC (Fly On The Wall) 1985

Fly On The Wall did what Flick Of The Switch couldn't. It produced a handful of anthems that I still enjoy playing on a regular basis today. This isn't a perfect record by any stretch, but it is definitely a good album full of classic AC/DC rockers.

I think why I really liked the album, more so than I should is that the band released a Long-form video on VHS for 5 of the songs with a "narrative storyline" running throughout each individual video. The "plot" of the storyline is the photographer trying to take pictures of the band. You can see the videos down below, in order. I gotta point out that one of the best scenes ever in any music video, be it AC/DC or any other band occurs at the end of the Shake Your Foundation. In my best Jack Black impersonation: "The band Rocks so fucking hard, it brings the building down to the ground". When the camera cranes up from the rubble to reveal AC/DC playing in front of the New York skyline, I was like FUCK YEAH!!!! Chills. But now, that image takes on a completely different meaning with the Twin Towers in the background.

Fave Songs: Danger, Sink The Pink, Playing With Girls and Shake Your Foundation. Co-MVP goes to Foundation and Danger.

I've always liked the Album Cover, front and back. Sucks to be Cliff Williams, the bass player. He is like the one guy that is never heard or seen within the band and he has been in the band for pretty much the entire run of AC/DC. And he still doesn't get any respect...even on the back cover with the stupid fucking green sticker over his face.

Rating: 4 Stars out of 5
